Airsoft blowback system comparison - TM v KA

Here's a little video - for the airsoft uber-geek! - that shows the difference between the current Tokyo Marui blowback system in their new AK74 series and King Arms new Galil SAR and it's blowback system.

OK - that was a bit dull wasn't it! LOL - Well that's how anal some airsofters really are. Me among them - I did spend some time comparing the two and concluded that the King Arms system is a little 'sloppier' and less realistic. The TM version seems a lot more hard hitting....Listen to the sound they make.

Yes...There is no hope for me!

On another point, the video shows the TM is a version of the AKS-74U, which I didn't even know TM had released yet. I have been toying with upgrading my AKS-74U (a Kalash RK-01) and was thinking of a VFC, but after seeing this video the TM may be a bit more fun - although it would entail buying all new magazines.

Late edit: As a happy co-incidence I just received the Wolf Armouries news letter which advertises the fact that they have just taken delivery of a batch of the new TM AKS74Us. At £299 it's a bit steep, especially when the VFC model is available at Elite Airsoft at just £250! I don't really see that the recoil system is worth the extra expense, particularly as it prevents you from using standard AK airsoft magazines.

But...You pays your money and takes your choice!
