Ground Break - finally something worth reporting!
Milgeek has been spookily quiet - not because i'm loosing interest, but simply because - hobby wise - there is very little worth reporting. But all that has changed with a new game that is in development, it's called Ground Break.
Anyone who has known me for any length of time will know I am a huge advocate of the Ghost Recon game franchise, but that I have also had something of a schism with this game of late as I have finally grown tired of UbiSoft's flirtation with the console jockies and mucking up with what was - in it's original form - one of the best battlefield tactical squad FPS games ever.
There are a lot of guys like me who lament the fact that the Classic Ghost Recon has not been re-made in it's exact original game play form with just a few cosmetic and graphic enhancements. That's all that was needed.
Well, a development group called Blackfoot Studios - who include designers who have previously worked on the Ghost Recon franchise - has been working on exactly that. The new game is called Ground Break and features the a stunning level of realism while at the same time understanding it is a game (not a simulation) and providing accessable game modes that will guarentee a satisfactory adrenaline rush.
The catch - if you want to call it that - is that this game is hanging in the ballance and needs donations to move the development on. Using the Kickstarter model - which has seen other niche games, like 'Carmaggedon', achive their funding - Blackfoot Studios needs YOUR help!
Visit their web site, look at the development materal and watch the above video and I am certain you will be persuaded to donate. You can pledge your support here: Ground Break Kickstarter
Please donate - we need this game.
