3D drawing of AK74M - Part 6

Moving on to the receiver - the main body of teh assault rifle -  I took these couple of screen shots of my progress. I particularly like the pencil drawing effect that you can apply within SketchUp, the blueprint effect (above) is quite interesting.

I have two versions of the AK-74 airsoft replica made by two different companies, and I was quite amazed by just how different in the details that they are when compared side by side. The model I am recreating in SketchUp is made by Kalash (D-Boyi) and I believe it is supposed to be more faithful to the real AK-74.

I have a fair amount of detailing to do on the reciever, and shaping of the top cover, some of it quite tricky.
