Georgia & Ossetia - a hope for peace

I won't go into the political scheming behind the latest conflict to break out on the border regions of Russia, as - by now - anyone who is reading this must have seen the traumatising video that is being shown on the world's news media. I am not taking 'sides', as I am convinced that the important thing is that civilians of either Georgian or Ossetian faction are the ones who are suffering.

I just hope that sense will prevail and that a ceasefire will be effected as soon as is possible.

May I recommend UK readers, in order that they may get a balanced view of the situation, to tune in to Sky Channel 512 for the 'Russia Today' news channel as well as their normal Western news program, or log on to their web site at: www.russiatoday.com
