Of course the most anticipated movie of this crop must be World War Z (which was being shot in Glasgow while I was on holiday in Scotland this year). But if, like me, you like your undead served with a dollop of kitch then Boy Scouts v. Zombies sound like one for the Blockbusters (or ILoveFilms) wish list.

On a more cinema fan-boy kinda note it's interesting to see just how many titles this genre is drawing and shows the continued popularity of the zombie flick. On the down side is the complete absence of a British production (although expect 28 Months Later in 2013). This is very disappointing as if Shaun of the Dead taught us anything it was that we Brits can out zom the yanks if we put our mind to it.

The boobie prize for 'probably going to be the biggest disappointment' must go to Resident Evil 5. Perversely I have enjoyed this series (as DVD fillers) but like so many cannot quite put my finger on just why the franchise has not lived up to the enjoyability of the first movie. Perhaps the emphasis on Lara Croftian scanty costumes and not enough brain eating has something to do with it.

Finally, let's not forget that the new season of Walking Dead starts on Sky TV this October!
