Somethings are like riding a bike! BC2
I really seem to have found my comfort zone in my return to BC2 Vietnam. It hasn't taken me long to get back into the swing of things and while that sounds like tooting my own horn I admit straight away that I am NOT anything like a 'leet' player, I am mediocre but just mediocre enough that I occasionally have a terrific round. This is what makes for fun, those once in a blue moon exceptional rounds.
I never found my feet with BF3 and never felt comfortable so my performance was always bellow par.
In this mornings relaxing Saturday morning stint as BC2 though I found myself back to my old chuckling self as I repeatedly did the nasty on opposing players. In case you haven't played with me (or against me) my preferred class is Engineer as it affords me my two favourite tools - the mine and the flamethrower!
Above: A little award I granted myself when I made my 1000th flamethower kill!
I simply relish with evil glee those random kill messages I get as people around the map find my cunningly placed mines. I like to think I am good at it and am always looking for new and dastardly places to place a mine where inept drivers would not conceive that there would be a mine!
Mines are the FPS gift that keeps on giving!
In this game I also managed the despicable deed of winning a Nemesis pin (kill the same enemy 5 times) and I was well on my way to a double nemesis as I completely out-witted my poor adversary. Just sometimes you meet a player who you completely understand - maybe because he does what you would do in a given situation - and it then becomes a lot of fun proving that you are always one step ahead...
One can only imagine the blaspheming from your nemesis as your name keeps popping up on the Killcam. So all in all it has been a very self-satisfying and smug mornings gaming!
